Responsibilities
Job Summary: The GTE Mumbai Coordinator (AVP) supports the Head of GTE & CIO Mumbai by executing and coordinating day to day GTE activities. The role focuses on operational execution, tracking, documentation, and follow up, ensuring that decisions, governance requirements, and actions. This role ensures discipline in processes, transparency in reporting, and timely delivery across IT operations, regulatory, audit, and infrastructure matters, aligned with regional GTE standards.
1. Production, Performance & Service Oversight
• Oversee the day to day IT production performance of end user and infrastructure services delivered by external contractors.
• Ensure service levels, KPIs, and operational commitments are met consistently.
• Monitor incident trends, recurring issues, and service degradation, and drive corrective actions with vendors and internal teams.
• Act as the local escalation point for production issues involving contractors before escalation to Head of GTE & CIO or regional teams.
• Ensure adherence to regional production processes, incident management, and reporting standards.
• Organize local IT production ceremonies, status reporting, and follow ups.

2. Governance, Regulatory & Control Responsibilities
• In coordination with regional IT teams, support and take ownership for regulatory, audit, internal supervision, and control instances related to infrastructure services & activities in Mumbai.
• Ensure controls, evidence, and attestations required by regulators, audits, and internal supervision are properly executed and documented.
• Ensure closure of audit, regulatory and any other operational recommendation for Mumbai perimeter
• Work closely with Compliance, CISO and Risk team to interpret regulatory requirements, assess impact and define remediation plan
• Ensure segregation of duties between service execution (contractors) and supervision/control (SG).
• Ensure GTE Mumbai applies IT Infrastructure global and regional standards without deviation.
3. Local Coordination & Administration
• Act as the local coordination point between contractors, Head of GTE & CIO Mumbai, and regional/global GTE teams.
• Maintain oversight of:
• Contractor activities and access governance
• Service documentation and runbooks
4. Stakeholder & Vendor Management
• Interface with regional production teams to ensure Mumbai specific needs are understood and addressed.
• Lead and organize service review for local vendors
• Challenge vendors and contractors constructively on performance, risk, and compliance matters.
• Support the Head of GTE & CIO Mumbai in service reviews and governance discussions with regional stakeholders and Mumbai business entities
Profile required
Academic Background (degree and major): Engineering Graduate or MCA or equivalent qualification from a recognized University / Institution.
Relevant Working Experience in number of years:
• At least 10 years of experience in relevant areas.
• Experienced in infrastructure, technical project management is preferred.
• Worked in Banking-IT related areas/projects involving IT Policy and Planning/Financial Networks and Applications/ Financial Information Systems/ Cyber Security Technologies/ Payment Technologies
Skills & Competencies required:
Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience of Infrastructure services (network, network security, compute and end-users equipment management and configuration)
• Intermediate project management skills to manage efficient coordination across multiple teams
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements related to technology / IT function
• Strong knowledge of banking activities and product, and mindset of risk control on regulatory report (accuracy, completeness, timeliness)
• Critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills to facilitate effective and efficient team and task management
• Fast learner and quick adapter to new environment/changes
