The Business Analyst Chapter Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and elevating a community (or “chapter”) of Business Analysts. This role focuses on coaching, capability building, best‑practice governance, and ensuring consistent, high‑quality BA delivery across squads or project teams. The Chapter Manager acts as both a people leader and a practice owner—shaping BA standards, mentoring analysts, and aligning business analysis outcomes with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities1. People Leadership & Capability Development
- Recruit, hire, and onboard Business Analysts; ensure strong cultural and capability fit.
- Build tailored development plans to strengthen individual BA skills and career growth.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, training, and performance management.
- Foster a collaborative and open environment that encourages continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
- Define, implement, and continuously improve Business Analysis best practices, templates, and frameworks.
- Establish and maintain BA delivery standards, ensuring consistency across all squads/projects.
- Support the creation and maturity of Business Analysis Centers of Excellence (BACoE) where applicable.

- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure solution alignment with business objectives. [hrblade.com]
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to understand requirements and translate them into actionable BA outputs.
- Guide teams on prioritization of requirements based on business value, impact, and feasibility.
- Support teams in building business requirements, process flows, use cases, and user stories.
- Review business analysis deliverables for quality, completeness, and alignment to standards.
- Oversee testing support (UAT), validation, and change management activities.
- Track project progress, resolve BA-related issues, and provide status updates to leadership.
- Promote adoption of Agile and other relevant methodologies across analyst teams.
- Champion the use of data analysis, modeling tools, and process‑mapping tools for better decision making.
- Identify skill gaps, training needs, and opportunities for automation or BA capability uplift.

Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in Business Analysis or related functions, including at least 8 years of people leadership or chapter/practice management.
- Strong knowledge of requirements documentation, use‑case development, and process modeling.
- Proficiency with BA and data tools (Excel, SQL, Visio, modeling/diagramming tools).
- Familiarity with SDLC and Agile frameworks.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical mindset and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.
