Responsibilities
Credit Risk Analyst (Hedge Funds) (SG Americas Securities LLC, New York, NY)
Multiple positions available. Participate in funds due diligence meetings, including completing minutes from due diligence meetings and client ratings; Prepare hedge funds annual review templates with all required information (fund information and documentation, performance and NAV statistics etc.); Monitor exposures and analyze various counterparty risk reports (daily PNL report, ad hoc client reporting, margin calls, disputes etc.); Assist in negotiating credit terms of Legal agreements (ISDA, GMRA, Clearing agreements etc.); Monitor portfolio and address daily overshoots across all applicable metrics; Build proficiency with all systems used by the Group; Develop, test and deliver solutions relating to assigned projects and goals as applicable; Assist in performing funds due diligence including the review of relevant documentation, analyzing investment and operational risks, performing background checks, arranging and attending on-site due diligence meetings and drafting well-written due diligence documents; Assist in opining on transactions and associated risks and limits; Continuously monitor across a broad range of metrics and indicators and management of counterparty exposures in accordance with developing market conditions, counterparty risk profile and defined risk appetite; Follow up on limit, threshold and policy breaches; Maintain up to date risk information and the ongoing monitoring of funds performance and creditworthiness; and Enforce procedures designed to mitigate against losses in the event that a counterparty defaults, assisting in negotiating credit terms of legal documents (e.g. ISDA ATEs). Requires up to 5% domestic travel. Partial telecommuting permitted; on-site at 245 Park Ave., New York, NY 10167 when not telecommuting. Salary: $112,778 - $150,000 per year.
Profile required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or related field, plus 3 years of professional experience as a Credit Officer, Credit Risk Analyst or any occupation, job title, position performing credit risk analysis for hedge funds within financial institutions or capital markets. Must also have the following: 3 years of professional experience in investment bank environment utilizing hedge fund strategies (including long/short equity, macro, credit, relative value, and multi-strategy) and primary risk drivers; 3 years of professional experience using risk management systems and reporting tools to measure, monitor, and report counterparty exposures and credit limits across multiple product sets (including OTC flow and exotic derivatives, listed derivatives, securities financing, clearing, equity prime brokerage, structured products, and fund financing transactions); 3 years of professional experience reviewing financial and investment statements (including income statement, balance sheet, cash flows, and investor risk reports) to assess counterparty creditworthiness, analyze leverage, liquidity, concentration, and other risk metrics including stress or scenario analysis; 3 years of professional experience leading due diligence call and preparing written credit due diligence reports including assigning counterparty credit ratings, setting exposure limits, and preparing formal credit assessments or annual reviews; 3 years of professional experience setting or recommending counterparty credit limits and managing limit breaches or overshoots via credit flow tools; 3 years of professional experience reviewing with Legal and providing LOD2 input on credit-relevant legal documentation terms (including ISDA/CSA, GMRA, PSA/PSCA and clearing agreements); 3 years of professional experience using advanced Microsoft Excel (including macros, pivot tables, lookup/index functions, and formulas), and tableau; and 3 years of professional experience with major risk/data platforms (including internal bank risk systems, Bloomberg, or Markit).

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
