V.I.E. Compliance Officer
Responsibilities
CPLE/ASI/COO (APAC Compliance Chief Operating Office) team has 2 main missions:
1. Define and implement the transformation of the Operating Model of CPLE with the objective of effectively covering the non-compliance risks, answering new business demands and regulatory requirements.
- Define and implement the Digital Transformation Strategy, fostering the acculturation of Compliance teams to digital challenges and initiating pilot projects,
- Ensure that Data required for CPLE are identified, under an adequate governance, are controlled, auditable, in quality and aligned with the requirements of the Group and regulators,
- Optimize processes and implement performance indicators and tools by allowing appropriate monitoring,
- Define the target Enterprise Architecture for CPLE and ensure its implementation according to the defined roadmap,
- Define and implement the Data Science strategy (modeling) for the Compliance failure.
2. Support the operational functioning of CPLE. The Department is also in charge of managing compliance incidents
- Apply the Group strategy and support CPLE in operational matters:
>> Administration, communication, procedures
>> Budget management: resources, offshore, IT
>> Management of operational risks and IS security, business continuity and compliance
>> Cross-business operations CPLE (production of oversight indicators, MyAction animation, list of Compliance roles, etc)
- Support the development of teams and manage the mandatory training system via the Compliance Academy
- Manage compliance incidents via the dedicated tool
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of materials for regional committees, e.g. quarterly regional Compliance Committee, etc
- Assist the team to identify opportunities to automate and simplify the existing process with new technology and dashboards monitoring
- Assist with transformation projects to enhance existing compliance frameworks including presentation to management
- Assist in compliance control framework enhancement, e.g. controls remediation plan
- Coordinate the Operational Risk Management processes for Compliance department, e.g. RCSA, 1st level control, BIA, BCP, Audit and Regulatory inspections recommendations follow-up
Miscellaneous: provide support to new joiners induction, department communication, compliance Incidents monitoring and follow-up, pan Asian Compliance Seminar

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with low code/no code deep knowledge
- AI fluent and digitally savvy, with a clear ability to : Automate processes, Work with data, dashboards, and digital tools, Experiment with AI solutions pragmatically
Language skills:
Fluent in English
Technical, operational & soft skills:
Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
Ability to interact with senior stakeholders in an international environment
Proficient/Good command of MS Office, PowerBI, AI tools
- Proactive, hands on, and improvement oriented mindset
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Hong Kong is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
