Responsibilities

As part of the Data Management Office within Global Banking Technology and Operations (GBTO), you will contribute to 2 major regulatory and operational domains: GDPR compliance and Data Record Management (DRM). You will support the implementation of data protection strategies and lifecycle management across wholesale banking activities, ensuring alignment with Group policies and European or local regulations.

Your future scope of responsibility will cover:

GDPR & Data Privacy Compliance

  • Support maintenance of documentation related to GDPR, including updating the register of personal data processing activities

  • Assist in reviewing risks linked to the use of personal data and international data transfers

  • Support the preparation and review of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) used with internal and external partners

  • Participate in the review of contractual clauses related to data privacy

  • Support preparation of regular compliance controls and reports

  • Support local teams in European entities by providing information related to GDPR and local data protection rules

  • Contribute to awareness activities such as preparing materials, updating intranet pages, or organizing training sessions

  • Assist in applying “Privacy by Design” and “Privacy by Default” principles during new projects

Data Record Management (DRM)

  • Participate in Group-wide DRM initiatives and support implementation of action plans

  • Support maintenance and update of the local data retention repository

  • Support identification of applications where data should be cleaned or deleted according to retention rules

  • Support IT teams with questions on data retention or archiving (e.g., during system migration or decommissioning)

  • Assist project teams in understanding DRM rules for new solutions

  • Contribute to the use and improvement of DRM tools

  • Help to promote a strong DRM culture within the organization, including preparing awareness sessions for Data Champions

Profile required

  • You hold a university degree, preferably in business, administration, economics, finance, or law

  • You are at an early stage of your career; no prior professional experience is required, although participation in a traineeship at an international financial institution is considered an asset

  • You have a basic understanding of GDPR compliance, data governance principles, and other privacy-related framework and you possess foundational knowledge of Schrems II, Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), and international data transfer regulations

  • You are fluent in English, which is mandatory in an international working environment

  • Familiarity with IT systems, cybersecurity, cloud environments, and data lifecycle management is an advantage
