Responsibilities
We are seeking a Structured Portfolio Manager to join our investment and structuring team and contribute to the growth of our systematic investment platform.
This role combines portfolio management responsibilities with strong engineering and automation contributions.
The ideal candidate brings:
Solid understanding of structured/index‑linked or derivative‑based strategies
Strong programming capability (Python or similar)
An engineering mindset oriented toward automation, reproducibility, and process optimization

Interest in accelerating workflows using AI/Copilot‑based development tools

Main responsibilities
Portfolio Management & Investment Operations
- Execute day‑to‑day management of derivative‑based and rule‑based strategies (cash management, exposure monitoring, rebalancing, trade instruction).
- Perform due diligence on Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) and index based strategies.
- Monitor market conditions, volatility, liquidity, and strategy‑specific risk factors.
- Enhance operational robustness across the front‑to‑back lifecycle.
- Prepare materials and minutes for internal fund management control and monitoring committees.
Development of the Systematic Investment Platform
You will play a key role in maturing a fully systematic, scalable investment engine. Main focus areas include:
Automation & Tooling:
- Develop and maintain Python‑based tools for investment operations, triggers, decision support, and monitoring.
- Contribute to an integrated trigger‑management framework, linking calendar events, portfolio exposures, and flow events.
- Build a modular calculation engine to standardize investment rules, formulas, and strategy logic.
- Improve execution oversight through automated checks on trade confirmations (email execution, Bloomberg, FIX, etc.).
- Create dashboards for real‑time visibility on triggers, pending actions, workflow status, and analytics.
- Use Copilot/AI tools to speed up scripting, documentation, workflow generation, and recurring code tasks.
- Quality, Reliability & Control
- Strengthen system reliability through logging, exception handling, validation checks, reproducibility, and documentation.
- Contribute to code reviews, testing, version control, and model governance best practices.
- Apply Copilot/LLM‑assisted reviews for documentation, code verification, and process standardization.
Fund Structuring & Product Development:
- Support design and lifecycle management of structured/index‑linked funds, both onshore and offshore.
- Collaborate with internal teams (MO, Risk, Legal, Compliance) and external partners (strategy providers, trustees, auditors).
- Contribute to automation of data management, reporting, product maintenance, and operational workflows.
- Leverage Copilot/LLM tools to streamline reporting, templating, product documentation, and workflow maintenance.
- Prepare materials for fund structuring and product governance committees.
Profile required
Profile
Technical & Quantitative Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Python or another programming language used for analytics, automation, or quantitative modeling.
- Experience automating operational workflows, investment processes, or data pipelines.
- Experience using Copilot/LLM tools for coding, debugging, workflow automation, or documentation is a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset with exposure to back‑testing, performance attribution, or quantitative modelling.
- Good knowledge of derivatives (options, futures, swaps) and indexation mechanics.
Professional Experience:
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas, acquired at an asset manager, securities firm, bank, or fintech:
- Systematic or index‑linked portfolio management
Derivatives structuring - Quantitative/systematic research
- Fund structuring or investment engineering
- Experience related to fixed income (e.g., rates products, bond markets, FI derivatives, or index‑linked FI strategies) is strongly welcomed
Mindset & Soft Skills:
- Engineering‑driven mindset: eager to automate, simplify, and industrialize processes, including through AI/Copilot‑assisted tooling.
- Self‑starter who thrives in a lean, fast‑evolving environment.
- Rigorous, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple projects.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Curiosity and willingness to broaden responsibilities across PM, technology, workflows, and structuring.
Language & Education:
- English: Business level
- Degree in engineering, mathematics, finance, economics, or related fields is an advantage.
- Japanese or French language skills are a plus but not mandatory
