Responsibilities

  • Support Equity Derivatives Sales in day-to-day activities.
  • Provide backup in trade execution, responding to pricing requests and managing pre-trade/post-trade workflows with high degree of autonomy.
  • Develop a strong understanding of SG’s full product offering and present it effectively to clients.
  • Build and grow client relationships; contribute to client origination and identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Develop market knowledge across product, payoffs, investment strategies and market practices.
  • Proactively add value to clients by producing market color, promoting SG research, and generating/pitching trade ideas.
  • Act as a liaison across internal functions (Middle/Back-Office, Risk, Onboarding, IT, Legal).
  • Produce and maintain business analytics (P&L, Hit Ratio).                        
  • Build and enhance trading/derivatives analytics for idea generation (charting, back-testing).
  • Develop and maintain coded tools to automate processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Act with highest integrity, ensuring strict adherence to the Sales Handbook, Code of Conduct, and all compliance and ethics requirements.

Profile required

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Engineering, Mathematics, IT, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in financial markets and derivatives (Greeks, Pricing Models), demonstrated through at least 1 year of relevant work experience (Prime, Delta‑One, or Options preferred).
  • Knowledge of Asia Equity Derivatives landscape (product, clients, strategies, market practice); Existing client relationships are a strong plus.
  • Strong Python coding skills; active user of AI with robust problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Detail‑driven and risk‑aware, operating with discipline and consistency in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Results‑oriented, able to prioritize effectively, make sound decisions, and perform under pressure.
  • Fluent in English with clear, concise communication skills; comfortable working in a cross‑cultural environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary regulatory licenses (e.g. SFC, MAS.).

Department Description:

The Junior Sales will join the Equity Derivatives department within SG Global Markets, supporting the Equity Derivatives Sales team.

The team covers global institutional clients and trades a broad range of products, including Financing, Equity Swaps, Options and QIS.
