IT Manager for C# Development
Responsibilities
As Societe Générale's Warsaw Global Business Solution Center continues to grow, we are expanding our C# development teams and currently looking for an experienced IT Manager for C# Development to join the Market Technologies and Operations (MTO) division.
In this role, you will combine hands-on development expertise with people management responsibilities, leading a team delivering advanced trading and deal processing applications used globally by traders and financial professionals. The position entails working in an international environment, including close collaboration with stakeholders across France, Poland, Romania and India, ensuring high-quality software delivery while fostering team growth and performance.
Your future scope of responsibility will cover:
People & Team Management (key focus)
Leading and managing a team of C# developers through supporting team members in their professional development and career progression. Driving performance management, while promoting a culture of high‑quality collaboration across the organization
Organizing team workload, identifying priorities, and overseeing delivery commitments
Ensuring best practices in development processes
Acting as a key point of contact for the team for interactions with business stakeholders and global counterpartsâ
Development & Delivery
Contributing to code reviews, troubleshooting, handling technical escalations and ensuring critical deliveries
Driving all stages of the SDLC, from business requirements analysis to production delivery
Ensuring code quality through robust testing strategies and production support processes
Ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
Profile required
You will be best suited for this role if:
You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in people management, leading software development teams
You have strong hands‑on experience in C# and the .NET ecosystem (minimum 7+ years), with proven ability to design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services
You have a deep and complex understanding of relational databases and backend architecture, along with exposure to frontend technologies to support end‑to‑end solution delivery
You have proven experience managing the full SDLC and development activities
You understand financial markets and banking operations, including concepts like debit/credit and trading floor environments (ideally within areas such as Fixed Income, FX, or Derivatives)
You are experienced in Agile methodologies, TDD, and CI/CD practices
You demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
You are proficient in English (additional French proficiency will be an asset)
