Société Générale Securities Services (SGSS) operates as a leading transfer agent in Luxembourg, providing a comprehensive range of services to institutional investors, financial institutions, and corporate clients. As a central transfer agent, SGSS plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining records of securities holders, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data related to investments.

The Transfer Agent department plays a vital role in the financial ecosystem, serving as the intermediary between investors and issuers. By ensuring accurate record-keeping, facilitating transactions, and maintaining compliance, the Transfer Agent helps build trust and transparency in the securities market.

Responsibilities

As part of the Business expert feam, the Data Quality Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data within FPS Luxembourg. This include an assessments of data quality across various sources to identify issues such as inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and missing values. The VIE will perform data profiling to analyze data sets, understand their structure, content, and relationships, and establish baseline quality metrics.
Key tasks are data cleansing, to develop and implement processes to clean and standardize data, correcting errors and removing duplicates to enhance overall data quality. The VIE will be in charge of establishing a data quality standards and guidelines that align with organizational goals and industry best practices.The candidate will have to track data quality metrics and generate reports to communicate findings, trends, and areas for improvement to stakeholders.

In addition, Data Quality Analysts conducts root cause analysis to investigate data quality issues, identify underlying causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. 
Continuous improvement is a vital part of his responsibilitiy, as to identify opportunities for process enhancements in data management practices and advocate for data quality initiatives.

The VIE will maintain, creates comprehensive documentation of data quality processes (dashboards), methodologies, and findings to ensure transparency and facilitate compliance. Through these responsibilities, a Data Quality Analyst plays a crucial role in helping organizations leverage data as a valuable asset, supporting informed decision-making and operational efficiency.


A questionnaire will be provided to you in order to check your VIE (Société Générale and Business France) eligibility. For an efficient analysis of your application, please make sure to truthfully answer all the questions.

Kindly note that it is also mandatory to provide us with a formal proof of your M2 diploma validation before the assignment start date. No VIE mission will start without this document.

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master’s degree from a Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance or Economics, Information and Technology

  • A previous experience in banking (invesment funds industry) would be appreciated

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English (B2-C1)

Technical, operational & soft skills:

  • Good communication and presentation skills

  • Proficient/Good command of MS Office

  • Strong listening and analytical skills

  • Proactivity, spearheading of proposals
     


The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Luxemburg is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
