Responsibilities

Société Générale Investment Solutions Europe (SGIS Europe) is a Luxembourg-based management company managing discretionary mandates and a range of funds and investment vehicles with a wealth management focus. The firm relies on strong expertise in European equities and bonds and systematically integrates environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria into its investment processes.
Supported by Société Générale’s global network, SGIS Europe combines local client proximity with international expertise. Sustainability is central to its investment philosophy. Within the management company, the Product Development team plays a key role in designing and successfully marketing investment solutions to partners and counterparties.

The V.I.E. Cross-Assets Product Specialist will:

  • Participate in the development and launch of new investment solutions for private clients, with a particular focus on multi-asset strategies, SRI themes, and innovative investment opportunities.
  • Contribute to the structuring and formalization of investment proposals tailored to clients’ needs, while ensuring their consistency with the convictions of the global investment committee.
  • Produce analyses and monitoring materials aimed at supporting investment decision-making, particularly with regard to macroeconomic trends, financial markets, and portfolio performance.
  • Support the preparation, consolidation, and distribution of reporting on internal funds, in particular the SG IS Fund SICAV, as well as the monitoring of discretionary portfolio management activities.

Kindly note that it is also mandatory to provide us with a formal proof of your M2 diploma validation before the assignment start date. No VIE mission will start without this document.

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master’s degree from a Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance

  • A previous experience in finance would be appreciated

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English (B2-C1)

Technical, operational & soft skills:

  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Programming language skills (VBA, Python, etc.) and an interest in automation solutions (Power Query) are a plus
  • Proficient/Good command of MS Office
  • Strong listening and analytical skills

  • Proactivity, spearheading of proposals

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Luxemburg is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
