As a Buyer you will support the activities of the “source to contract” process by pro-active business partnering with stakeholders, challenging the demand and activating all the negotiation levers to select the supplier or the most appropriate products/services under the best conditions.
Specifically, you will be required to:
- Understand the needs of internal partners and support them in their major projects;
- Deploy the purchasing strategies defined by the category leader;
- Lead negotiations, and set-up contracts;
- Build sustainable and responsible relationships with the entire purchasing ecosystem, including suppliers;
- Securing contractual relationships with Group suppliers;
- Help develop relationships with major strategic vendors as part of the SRM approach;
- Develop cooperation with new departments, entities or subsidiaries;
- Cooperate with central teams and the international departments to improve the impact of procurement and contribute to the deployment of action plans defined for this area;
- Identify CSR issues in procurement projects and integrate them into discussions;
- Contribute to the control of environmental and social risks in Purchasing by ensuring the proper use of the tools made available by the GCOO/ACH CSR team and by alerting, where appropriate, of potential risks related to suppliers.
Profile required
- Proven experience in applying procurement processes in line with corporate policies and ethical standards;
- Strong understanding of risk management (KYS, financial health) and contract compliance;
- Ability to ensure accuracy, rigor, and reliability in all procurement activities;
- Ability to structure, prioritize, and deliver procurement projects efficiently;
- Capable of anticipating risks and adapting strategies accordingly;
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure optimal commercial and contractual terms;
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic supplier relationships;
- Proactive approach to identifying new suppliers and business opportunities;
- Mindset focused on process optimization and implementation of best purchasing practices;
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills;
- Autonomous, proactive, and accountable.
