Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Business Analyst with strong experience in UI testing and Data Quality validation within Big Data ecosystems.
The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly documented, solutions meet business expectations, and data integrity is maintained across large-scale data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirement Management

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for data-driven and UI-based applications.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Data Engineers, and Developers to ensure requirement clarity and alignment.

UI Testing & Validation

  • Perform functional, regression, and UAT testing for UI applications.
  • Validate UI workflows, business rules, and data representations against requirements.
  • Log, track, and manage UI defects through their lifecycle using defect management tools.

Data Quality Testing (Big Data)

  • Perform data quality checks on large datasets across Big Data platforms.
  • Validate data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness across source-to-target transformations.
  • Create and execute test cases for data reconciliation, aggregation logic, and business rule validation.
  • Analyze data quality issues and work with technical teams for root cause analysis and resolution.

Big Data & Data Platform Engagement

  • Work with technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, or cloud-based data platforms.
  • Use SQL or similar querying tools to validate data across distributed systems.
  • Understand end-to-end data pipelines, ingestion processes, and reporting layers.

Documentation & Stakeholder Communication

  • Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), and test scenarios.
  • Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.
  • Provide regular status updates and reports to stakeholders.
  • Support UAT cycles and sign-off processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in data-centric projects.
  • Strong experience in UI testing and data quality testing.
  • Hands-on experience working in Big Data environments.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and validation.
  • Solid understanding of data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, consistency, validity).
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional technical and business teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with data governance or data quality tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica DQ ).
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting tools.
  • Experience supporting UAT and business sign-off in enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of PlayWright
