Sr Analyst - Software Asset Management

Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with Product Manager and other stakeholders to understand the software needs and ensure they are adequately met.

  2. Daily operational SAM activities including tracking of s/w license procured Vs deployment summary reports, license compliance monitoring.
  3. Carry out software asset management processes, including detailed analytics of contracts, usage and deployment data, forecast and budgets.

4.      Strong license knowledge in Microsoft. Basic knowledge on IBM & Oracle licensing and manage Business software licensing management.

  1. Internal stakeholder co-ordination relating to missing details.
  2. Be responsible to produce timely agreed KPI’s / Management Dashboard and strive well to achieve the agreed target level.
  3. Be on lookout for improvement opportunity to design/develop automation, simplification in order to optimize.
  4. Manage request queue/tickets and meet the agreed upon SLA’s.
  5. Co-ordinating with relevant stakeholders related to license deployed/consumption activities.
  6. Performing  Quality check of the existing deployment reports
  7. Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and updating documentation

12.   Must have knowledge on Maintenance/Subscription Renewal, Purchase Request and procurement process.

  1. Accountability and ownership of all activities performed 
  2. Manage and control IT Risk and contribute to cost reduction initiatives.

15.   Work with Procurement teams, Publisher reps and license managers.

  1. Refine, maintain and adhere to policies, processes and best practices to enable appropriate management of IT Assets with respect to risk, cost and compliance. 
  2. Ensuring adherence to legal and statutory requirements of IT assets usage 
  3. Ensure optimal utilization of software assets 
  4. Management of internal S/W transfers and usage
  5. Review and validation of S/W request from availability and IT infrastructure perspective 
  6. Provide advice and coordinate with BLs’ SPOCs on their software requirement 
  7. Investigation and clarification with the software publishers on contracts and license policy 
  8. Develop market intelligence for alternatives 
  9. Responsible for periodic review and control procedures to ensure process compliance 
  10. Ensure contracts with vendors are maintained, tracked and renewed on time
  11. Basic knowledge on discovery tool and configuration management tools

Profile required

Bachelor’s degree (BE / B.Tech, B.Sc) or 3 year technical Diploma with 3 to 5 years of Software Asset Management experience. Knowledge of Flexera/ServiceNow (SAM Pro) tool is added advantage.

5.Good hands-on experience in advanced excel
6.Able to confidently present SAM reports
7.Ability to work independently
8.Good stakeholder management skill
9.Self-driven individual that connects quickly with stakeholders to build rapport.
10.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is required, and ambiguity is constant.
11.Good analytical skills & ability to manage & drive initiatives.
12.Excellent Collaboration & Communication Skills.
13.In-depth understanding and experience in Software asset management life cycle.
