Within CPL/WSB, the Steering and Oversight team is the team in charge of oversighting the activities (supervision), reporting, and providing expertise on Financial Crime subjects to risk experts and Business Compliance Officer (BCO) teams.

The Business Data Analyst supports the CPL/WSB Oversight team for:

  • the consolidation of activity and risk indicators defined to oversight Financial Crime on Wholesale group activities within Wholesale Pilar Compliance teams;

  • the first-level analysis of their evolution over time to be adressed with WSB/FCC supervisors and other relevant WSB/FCC stakeholders;

  • the enrichment of the existing oversight framework with new indicators, defined at central or pilar level.

Main oversight activities are as follow :

  • Contributes to the expansion and maintenance of the compliance and oversight framework, which aims to guide governance, roles and responsibilities, and processes related to specific indicators;

  • Contributes to change management among tax payers and correspondents by raising awareness and communicating to stakeholders regarding the evolution of the system and/or the set of indicators;

  • Organizes project progress monitoring meetings with each project partner;

  • Perform data extractions and consistency checks, identifying anomalies or inconsistencies and obtaining relevant data, starting with discussions with entity supervisors. Ensuring a high level of quality and completeness of the data entered the system;

  • The management and monitoring of financial crime data, including the collection of data from appropriate sources (databases, other data sources);

  • Discussing and analyzing with supervisors any identified and unjustified deviation;

  • Applying, if necessary, to the remediation plan and related monitoring;

  • Periodic reporting of the conclusions for the controls;

  • Contribution to the preparation of Financial Crime Governance (Global AML&KYC Committee, Correspondent Banking Committee, EMEA FC Oversight meeting):  collect of information, KRI, slides-pack preparation and diffusion, monitoring of action plans defined in the previous meeting;

  • Contribution to other regulatory exercises on Financial Crime scope: QLB (Anti Money Laundering Questionnaire), capacity assessment, risk classification. Define remediation plans to improve data quality and monitor the roll-out of remediation plans. Stay aware of the Risk and compliance measures and flag any potential risks. Analyze the root causes of anomalies, identify corrective actions and work with various support teams to correct data quality errors.

Profile required

  • 3-5 years of banking experience in the following functions: Audit or inspection, compliance, legal, reporting/control;

  • Fluent English and French, spoken and written;

  • Good Excel skills, VBA and Power BI are a plus;

  • Experience in creating macro-PowerPoint presentation and ability to strengthen their competence regarding the specific tools of the intervention area;

  • Experience in managing databases and their exploitation;

  • Analytical and synthesis (business analysis);

  • Knowledge related to Project Management methodology;

  • Knowledge of regulatory topics;

  • Knowledge regarding the specific risks of AML, KYC, EMBARGO is a plus;

  • Ability to launch proposals and facilitate the resolution of topics;

  • Facilitation and communication skills;

  • Ability to interact with others, reaction, communication skills, dedication, flexibility;

  • Efficient, team spirit and ability to evolve in a fast and demanding work environment;

  • Autonomy and ability to synchronize with others (management of priorities and deadlines);

  • Efficiency and ability to evolve in a fast and demanding work environment.
