Responsibilities

Responsibility for ensuring that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your business or other businesses for which you have any level of responsibility.

It is your responsibility to ensure daily operational tasks are fully processed within defined timelines and compliant with agreed process framework. Responsibility for managing day to day operation, quality control, MIS preparation and escalation of incidents within the scope of your position.

Responsibility for reading, understanding and complying with the Company's Conduct and Standards and corresponding regulations. You will be notified of changes to policies in a timely manner through announcements and/or intranet updates.
Act with integrity and due skill, care and diligence in carrying out your duties. Your actions should always be able to satisfy high standards of scrutiny.
Observe proper standards of market conduct.  Responsibility to ensure that you take reasonable steps to be fully aware of, understand and comply with all regulatory requirements from all regulatory bodies that are applicable to your business.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role incumbent as the Senior Analyst of Global Client Interest Operations for Chennai is responsible for daliy and monthly process activities for GSC EDQ/CFM  providing support, training , process excellence of day-to-day operations of CIB Operations in Chennai in accordance with the strategy, objectives and directions of GBIS and RESG SG GSC.

  • The role provides a wide range of exposure to different areas within the Client Interest processing flow and requires an ability to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues, implement process improvements and to drive the strategic automation initiatives.
  • To provide support and supply a high-quality service for Global Client Interest team for Lisited, OTC and Cash equities businesses globally
  • Ensure new clients and exiting stock of onboarding and offboadring are reviewed thoroughly before closing the each case
  • Liaising with internal teams to ensure cclient Interest terms are perperly setup in systems and sign off each case
  • To perform all daily and monthly activities independently with 100% accuracy 
  • Reconcilition and  Investigate discrepencies between internal systems and follow up to fix in susequent systems
  • Provide control for daily processing including reconciliations, client interest terms, metrics and reporting and SLAs
  • To perform monthly variances analysis with accurate commentary for each analysed case and report onshore with in defined deadlines
  • Work with operations, IT and sales to implement improved processes for the  team as a whole
  • Participates in projects to support the business line and GBSU management.
  • Participates in Global and Regional communities to share best practices
  • Collaborates with colleagues to find common solutions designed to ensure the best level of client service and adhering to SG policies and procedures.
  • Proactively mitigates potential risks, ensuring that they act within the best interest of the Company and its clients escalating where appropriate.
  • Recognises established policies and proposes solutions to adapt situations or ideas for improvement. 
  • Provides constructive feedback when suggesting new ideas, promoting simplicity and innovations in a professional manner, actively contribute and embrace change implementation.
  • Demonstrates accountability, ownership to evaluate and improve own performance, actively seeking feedback where applicable.
  • Show pro-activity in the development of professional competences, deliverables and contributions to compliment needs and goals of the Company 
  • Assist with any audit / compliance
  • Assist with documentation of procedures and workflows
  • Cross-trains new employees on various tasks
  • Establish an environment that promotes respect for the individual employee and adheres to the SG policies and guidelines
