Responsibilities

Communications Team, Spain.

Candidate will join the Communications team in Madrid, in charge of press relations, corporate communications, internal communications, events, advertising and branding, as well as CSR support. It is a small team with a great atmosphere. 

Responsibilities:

The VIE will aid the Head of Communication for Iberia in all tasks to ensure the correct application of the Global Banking and Investment Solutions (GBIS) Communications strategy and the alignment and consistency of all communication actions within the country. The department also has a Group mission and is in contact with the other Société Générale Group Entities in Spain (ALD and SGEF). The responsibilities will cover corporate communications, media relations, events, advertising and branding as well as CSR support. Some of the main tasks to be performed include the elaboration of a daily press clipping, preparation of internal communications (appointment news, invitations, internal campaigns, newsletter elaboration, CSR announcements…), press release translations, attending press inquiries, aid in the prepartion of press conferences, intranet and external web management, social media monitoring and event preparartion and management, among others.

A questionnaire will be provided to you in order to check your VIE (Société Générale and Business France) eligibility. For an efficient analysis of your application, please make sure to truthfully answer all the questions.  

Please note that it is mandatory to provide us a formal proof of your M2 diploma validation before the assignment start date. No VIE mission will start without this document. *Grade sheets are not accepted as justification of diploma.

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Bachelor or Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Journalism, Marketing, Economics, Public Relations
  • Prior experience in Press team, Communication team, Media relations, Event agency would be an asset
     

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English (B2-C1)

  • Fluent in Spanish

Technical, operational & soft skills:

  • Knowledge of the social media

  • Knowledge of the banking industry

  • Good writing, interpersonal and listening skills
  • Great sense of risk management and confidentiality
  • Team player

  • Interest in the digital world
  • Willingness to learn and grow



The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Madrid is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
