Responsibilities

·        Manage daily trading activity across securities lending, borrowing, and repo transactions

·        Monitor and optimise inventory, funding costs, and balance sheet utilisation

·        Price and execute transactions with internal desks and external clients

·        Identify trading opportunities, including specials and arbitrage opportunities

·        Maintain strong relationships with Prime Brokerage, Sales, and clients

·        Monitor corporate actions and market developments impacting positions and pricing

·        Ensure compliance with risk limits, regulatory requirements, and internal controls

·        Contribute to automation, tooling improvements, and strategic initiatives (e.g. platform development such as Athena)

Profile required

·        Strong knowledge of Equity Finance (securities lending, repo, collateral management)

·        Understanding of Prime Brokerage and client financing needs

·        Proven experience in trading and risk management

·        Strong analytical and quantitative skills

·        Proficiency in Python, VBA, or equivalent tools

·        Knowledge of financial markets and corporate actions

·        Balance sheet and funding optimisation expertise

·        Strong communication and client-facing skills

·        Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment
