V.I.E. Finance & Accounting Controller
Responsibilities
Join our Finance Department (DFIN) which covers 2 entities: SG Frankfurt and SG Effekten. The main role of the Finance department is the supervision of the accounting and controlling function performed in our offshore location for the 2 entities, the delivery and supervision of the regulatory reporting, managing German tax related matters and performing required analysis impacting the financial performance and financial risks of the entities.
As VIE in the Finance department, you will support the team in various functions, e.g. controlling tasks, regulatory reporting, tax matters, follow up of inter-entity billings and management fees as well as follow up of current account & project management.
During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities:
- Regular controlling updates on our Net Banking Income & costs of the branch
- Support the team in regulatory reporting, e.g. by analyzing changes and checking quality of deliverables
- Involvement in topics regarding German Tax Law compliance such as controlling of travel expenses and the follow up of accounting flows between fiscal authorities and the branch
- Support the preparation of German Balance sheet
- Follow the inter-entity billings and of current accounts as well as reconciliation
- Prepare documents for Review meetings (Business/Audit)
Be involved in different other projects

Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
- Graduate from a Master degree in a business school or university with a specialization in Finance, Accounting or Controlling
A first experience, e.g. gained through internships, in accounting would be desirable. Knowledge in regulatory reporting and corporate taxes is a plus.
Language skills:
Fluency in English is mandatory, any other European language is advantageous
Technical, operational & soft skills:
- Proficient with MS Office applications
- Being reliable and a team player is compulsory
- Very good communication skills (written and oral)

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Frankfurt is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
