Responsibilities

As an Operational Risk Specialist you will play an important role in safeguarding our banking processess. You will be responsible for ensuring that risk assesments are accurate, controls are robust, and that our risk mitigation framework aligns with the Group’s evolving menthodologies

Your future scope of responsibility will cover:

  • Analyzing and monitoring compliance of the codification of banking processes, the correctness of risk assignments and relevant periodic controls or other non-systemic mitigants for Societe Generale branches in EMEA region

  • Producing operational risk documentation for covered legal entities

  • Collecting and reporting operational incidents and related action plans

  • Overseeing permanent control execution and design/consultation of Permanent Supervision controls, monitoring declarations as well as the evolution and management of the control plan

  • Tracking KPIs related to operational risk

  • Monitoring LOD2 and LOD3 recommendations and assistance to branches’ Operational Risk Managers and EMEA Control & Operational Risk Officer to complete audit recommendations and needs for actions issued by LOD2

  • Coordination of Risk and Control Self-Assessment process for Societe Generale EMEA branches including assistance to ORMs to explain methodology of the process and tool itself

Profile required

You will be best suited for this role if:

  • You hold a degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

  • You have several years of experience in operational risk, internal audit, or another function responsible for the control and oversight of operational processes

  • You possess a strong understanding of operational risk frameworks, banking risk solutions, and supervisory regulations related to operational risk

  • You are fluent in English; knowledge of French will be considered an asset

  • You have advanced MS Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI is a plus

  • You exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

  • You are well-organized, proactive, and driven to improve efficiency while minimizing risks in business processes and work effectively under time pressure
