TRAINEE: Operation Risk Management

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the operational incidents by helping operational teams and managers to collect and report incidents in dedicated tools, reviewing and performing critical analysis of Post-Mortem and action plans and following-up on their implementation
  • Support and development of projects to automate / optimize operational risk analysis and reporting
  • Identify & monitor relevant risk indicators
  • Assist in performing and coordinating the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)
  • Ensure a strong managerial supervision by reviewing with the managers the control framework in place and monitoring the results of the permanent supervision controls
  • Carry out operational processes review to assess their adequacy in terms of risks and control framework
  • Work with senior stakeholders across the Bank to further adhere to the risk framework
  • Contribute to the advancement of operational risk methods and practices
  • Assist in preparation of any operational risk awareness sessions
  • Any ad-hoc task related to operational risks governance, risks and controls

Profile required

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Strong interest in LOD1 operational risk management topics related to operational and technology risks
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Able to present and communicate with impact and influence to different teams across the Group, regionally and globally
  • Self-starter, able to work independently and proactively
  • Team-oriented and adaptable mindset
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Great attention to details with the ability to compile precise statistical data for management
  • Interest in new technologies (including AI) 
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English is mandatory
  • Knowledge in advanced Excel, VBA Power BI will be advantageous

This is a fixed term 24 month Trainee contract with Societe Generale. You will form part of the team on a full time basis. In order to apply for the Trainee position please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of the Trainee contract.
