No prior trade finance experience is required – we'll provide training, mentoring and support to help you succeed.

What You'll Do

As a Trade Finance Trainee, you'll work closely with teams across the bank to support corporate clients and help facilitate international trade transactions.

You'll:

  • Support clients with day-to-day enquiries and requests.
  • Help monitor and process trade finance transactions.
  • Work with colleagues across operations, risk, compliance and relationship management teams.
  • Assist with reporting, research and administrative activities.
  • Learn about trade finance products such as guarantees and letters of credit.
  • Develop an understanding of banking regulations, risk management and customer service.

Profile required

What We're Looking For

We're interested in motivated individuals who are curious, proactive and eager to learn.

You'll ideally have:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business, International Business or a related subject.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence working with Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Previous internship, placement or work experience is welcome but not essential.
