V.I.E. Structured Finance Transaction Management
Responsibilities
Within Global Banking and Advisory (GLBA), the VIE will join the Structured / Specialized Middle Office (CLS) team, which supports Front Office teams, Operations, and control functions in the day-to-day monitoring of financing activities.
This position is designed as a junior development opportunity, enabling the candidate to progressively build an understanding of the banking environment, middle office processes, operational controls, and the coordination of internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Support Middle Office
- Participer au suivi quotidien des dossiers et aider à la préparation des éléments nécessaires aux revues opérationnelles.
- Contribuer à la coordination avec les équipes internes afin de faciliter la circulation de l’information et le suivi des demandes.
- Aider à la mise à jour de données opérationnelles et au contrôle de cohérence des informations disponibles dans les outils internes.
Contrôles et qualité des données
- Réaliser des contrôles de premier niveau sous supervision, identifier les écarts simples et les escalader aux membres expérimentés de l’équipe.
- Contribuer à l’amélioration de la qualité des données, à la documentation des anomalies et au suivi des plans de remédiation.
- Participer à la préparation de reportings, tableaux de suivi et indicateurs utiles au pilotage de l’activité.
Coordination et communication
- Préparer des synthèses claires pour faciliter le suivi des sujets en cours et la priorisation des actions.
- Collaborer avec les Middle Officers, les Opérations, les équipes Front Office et les fonctions support dans un cadre défini.
- Développer une communication professionnelle, structurée et adaptée à un environnement international.
Amélioration continue
- Contribuer à des initiatives transverses, à la formalisation de procédures et à la simplification de certains suivis.
- Participer à l’identification d’irritants opérationnels et proposer des pistes d’amélioration simples.
- Soutenir l’équipe dans la préparation d’audits, revues internes ou demandes ponctuelles, selon le niveau d’autonomie acquis.

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University wit a specialization in Finance
A previous experience in Bank is required
Language skills:
Fluent in English
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
Good communication and presentation skills
Proficient/Good command of MS Office
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Montreal is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.
