Responsibilities

GBIS/COO/GRC oversees the permanent control, the management of the operational risks for GBIS and the framework of operational risks for GBIS (governance, processes and tools).

GRC missions are to:

·        Define, animate and control the operational risk management framework within GBIS, by:

o   Ensuring that the processes (instructions, guidelines) are defined and applied.

o   Organizing cross-functional operational risk governance bodies (new product committees, incident management committee, etc.)

o   Providing support and expertise on operational risk management processes and tools

·        Ensure controls and manage operational risk of GBIS (CORO function in the Permanent Control Group operational model):

o   Ensure the deployment of the Level 1 permanent control group system (layers, APRC, BCN, etc.) and its assimilation within GBIS.

o   Assist managers in the identification and assessment of their risks, in the design and implementation of permanent controls.

o   Lead operational risk management processes (RCSA, KRIs, AS, operational risk events, etc.)

o   Ensure that action plans are in place and monitored in the event of anomalies/incidents.

o   Define and manage the governance of GBIS’s permanent control.

o   Prepare and communicate reports on operational risks to GBIS management and the Group.

Interact within GBIS with Centers of Expertise and Process Managers to provide holistic oversight of operational risks; Be the primary correspondent for 2nd and 3rd Lines of Defense and the Group Permanent Control

We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Experts with deep expertise on GBIS Functional perimeters. The ideal candidate will be part of the team which monitors, develops, Risk Reports drive analytical initiatives, architect scalable dashboards, automate workflows, and collaborate with business stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable insights.

This role requires a balance of technical leadership, hands-on development, and strategic thinking.

Profile required

Delivery & Operations:

• Production of Risk Dashboards/ Reports using data from various sources/tools eg- operational incidents, Audit recommendations, Key Controls, RCSA, Action Plans, Operational indicators like Cash breaks, FOBO breaks, Manual Entries, securities breaks etc.
• Follow up with business lines to get justification and details on the breach of KRI’s reported on the Dashboards.
• Monitoring the outstanding/overdue action plans related to anomalies/audit/incidents and getting updates on the current status for management reporting.
• Support ad-hoc requests for analysis of the data, working on key campaigns run by Risk managers
• Provide support for identifying and troubleshooting data quality issues. Arbitrate and resolve production issues on a timely basis keeping all the stakeholders informed
• Providing admin support (access validation, creation and amendment) for Key Risk Tools of SG related to incidents, RCSA, Action plans, Key controls etc. Role also involves continuous monitoring to ensure that control framework is consistent across departments and across locations for all the risk tools. Team would also provide training to Risk managers/Business lines on Risk tools.
• Training and migration of reporting processes from other regions whenever required. Assisting risk managers and business lines in creating and developing efficient dashboards and reporting processes.

Client Management :

• Ensure effective communication with counterparts on a regular basis and suggest for implementation steps towards improvement
• Escalate/address Client escalations issues effectively and also pro-actively assist the scope of expansion/transitioning.
• Governance and coordination responsibility for working with GBTO/COO/GRC in Paris, EMEA, LUX, ASIA and AMER to provide timely updates and any production related issues or bottlenecks

Quality & Efficiency:
• Ensure timely and quality deliveries
• Implement robust quality assurance checks and controls throughout the reporting processes.
• Perform independent review of the reports prior to distribution to the stakeholders/top management.
• Define and continuously improve the processes applied to the activities performed

• Superior writing skills especially in development of clear and effective procedures
• Lead discussions with business leaders and risk managers on specific topics (Issues, queries, data analysis, new requirements etc.)
