Lead Systems Engineer
Responsibilities
Overview
- Provide subject matter expertise for LAN, WAN, Firewalls, DNS, Loadbalancers
- Monitor and Mentor Network engineers in respective shifts
- Translate decisions into practical guidelines, policies and implementation plans.
- Oversee & Maintain department KPIs / KSIs
- Ensure compliance with policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures
Profile required
- Graduate
- Active CCNA mandatory, knowledge on Security mandatory
- Knowledge on appliances will be added advantage
- Knowledge on cloud / Data will be added advantage
- Excellent written and Verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure related to scale of business impact
- Drive high priority incidents from GNOC along with the experts
- Report on the operational health of the global connectivity infrastructure, driving improvements where needed working closely with our external service providers.
- Provide technical consultation to internal business partners.
- Prioritize incidents across the shifts towards resolution. Provide Queue management 24x7
- Be the Liasion between the feature teams & GNOC on various initiatives
- Own and drive various department initiatives including but not limited to automation, noise reduction, new service offerings.
- Assume product ownership within department
- Drive shift standup calls / other governance calls for the team
