EGB Algo Trader

Position Overview:

Within the Société Générale Group, you will join the Global Markets division, specifically the algorithmic market-making team specializing in interest rate cash products. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the operations of one of the global leaders in financial markets within this dynamic and ever-evolving sector.

Main Responsibilities:

• Conduct market making in the European Government Bonds (EGB) algo in an electronic environment
• Provide operational support for other desk activities, ensuring continuity and efficiency in operations
• Perform post-trade analysis of client transactions to evaluate performance and identify opportunities to optimize performance and develop franchise

Behavioral Skills:

• Collaborate closely with the team’s developers to enhance tools and processes
• Interact with internal stakeholders, including systems, tools, and connectivity teams, to ensure smooth integration of solutions
• Work alongside voice EGB and IRD market makers within the team for optimal risk and opportunity management
• Collaborate with e-Sales to enhance the franchise and improve the client experience

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in trading/streaming algorithms, market connectivity, and associated infrastructure
• Expertise in programming languages such as C# and Python, with the ability to develop and maintain trading tools
• Knowledge and practical experience in statistical modeling techniques, including key concepts of statistical learning, overfitting, cross-validation, and linear regression
• Strong skills in a data-oriented programming language such as Python
• Understanding of financial markets, including interest rate and foreign exchange products
