Assistant Manager, Communications (APAC)
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Editorial and Digital Communications and Communications for Southeast Asia, the Assistant Manager, Communications (APAC) supports the delivery of the communications strategy across Asia Pacific, including Southeast Asia.
Editorial & Internal Communications (APAC)
- Support delivery of editorial activity across APAC, with a focus on internal communications
- Maintain oversight of internal communications across:
- HR and people initiatives
- Diversity and inclusion networks
- Staff engagement and transversal topics
- ASIA weekly newsletter and appointment announcements
- Review outputs to ensure consistency in messaging, tone and channel usage
- Engage with stakeholders across markets and provide input on messaging and communications approach to ensure consistency across the region
Singapore & Southeast Asia Communications
- Support delivery of communications activity across Singapore and Southeast Asia
- Act as a point of contact for stakeholders on communications matters, ensuring alignment with overall priorities
- Contribute to the development of content across channels, including written and multimedia formats, supporting business and corporate communications
- Support communications across corporate, media and stakeholder-related topics where relevant, including media engagement, press-related activities and sensitive communications
- Support application of brand guidelines and ensure consistency in the use of Societe Generale’s brand across communications materials
Events: Client and staff engagement
- Support delivery of client engagement events and activities led at regional, global or local business level, and executed in Singapore
- Support selected staff engagement activities, including Citizenship and DE&I initiatives and internal events, where required
Partnerships & Citizenship
- Support partnerships and citizenship-related initiatives in line with the bank’s positioning, including staff and client engagement activities where relevant
Team Oversight
- Oversee trainee responsible for internal communications delivery
- Provide direction, guidance and review of outputs
- Ensure consistency and quality of delivery across internal communications
Profile required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in communications, media & communication, marketing, journalism or a related field
- Hands on experience in communications, public relations or corporate affairs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to review and refine communications materials
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities effectively
- Comfortable engaging with stakeholders across functions, markets and levels of seniority
- Experience supporting or coordinating client and/or internal events in a corporate environment
- Exposure to media relations, including press-related activities, is an advantage
- Experience working across different communication channels and formats, targeting a range of audiences
- Digitally savvy with proficiency in MS Office tools and familiarity with content management systems
- Good understanding of social media and digital communications
- Resourceful, reliable and a collaborative team player with a strong sense of responsibility
