Cross-Asset Structurer
Responsibilities
There is an open position at Societe Generale to join our APAC team of experienced individuals in structuring
This role is for a finance professionals who can bring:
- Several years of experience in Equity and/or Fixed Income product structuring,
- Ability to lead projects, coordinate efficiently with different stakeholders and execute complex transactions,
- Ability to draft / review complex trade documentation under different format (OTC, notes…),
- Appetite for business development and new product development,
- Knowledge of China cross-border arrangements and/or financing trades (ISDA, GMRA, GMSLA, secured notes…) and/or SPV structuring (strong plus).
As part of the Solution Team within the Cross Asset Structuring team, you will support APAC Sales as follows.
Main missions are:
Origination of transactions / creation of new businesses:
- Development of new products and customisation of existing products in order to create scalable business
- Proactively pushing new product ideas to Sales
- Obtaining internal approvals for new products, coordinating with different departments including Front Office (Sales and Traders) and Support Functions (Risk, Legal, Compliance, Tax, Operations, Accounting…
- Support Sales in pitching clients
- Monitor markets, discuss with Trading & Sales teams to identify market opportunities
- Understand regulatory, tax and accounting environment applicable to certain markets or specific client segments and monitor their evolution
Execution of transactions:
- Draft / review transaction documentation in accordance with SG internal standards
- Ensure that transactions are compliant with SG business principles and SG internal rules
- Obtain relevant validations from the various departments of the bank in accordance with the relevant procedures
- Ensure scarce resources are properly used (liquidity, balance-sheet, LCR, NSFR…) and minimum profitability requirements are reached (ROE, ROA, RAROC…)
- Ensure smooth operational delivery (settlement, valuation, secondary market…)
- Support Sales in after sale service
Profile required
- Proven experience of working in a similar position at an international investment bank
- Past experience in executing complex transactions, building platforms
- Product knowledge: China cross-border arrangements and/or financing trades (TRS, Bond Forward, repo securities lending, secured notes…) and/or SPV structuring as strong plus
- Familiar with ISDA, GMRA, GMSLA and notes concepts and documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office pack and ability to use market information databases such as Bloomberg
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Highly motivated who can work autonomously
- Good team player with ability to drive initiatives cross-departments for a common goal
- Self-motivated, pro-active, responsible, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadline
