Job purpose

  • You will serve as the technical and functional administrator for the monitoring solutions used for end-to-end supervision of the bank's services (application & infrastructure).

  • As a monitoring specialist, you will maintain, develop and implement the monitoring of the systems (using the monitoring tools capabilities or custom scripts), working closely with IT application administrators, infrastructure engineers, architects and security teams.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and configure the monitoring tool components (server, agents & integrations/collectors) ;

  • Monitor the availability, performance, stability and reliability of the solutions under your responsibility ;

  • Design, maintain and evolve the monitoring systems:

  • Build and maintain dashboards, alerting thresholds, notifications

  • Ensure complete visibility across infrastructure, applications, and services

  • Standardize monitoring across environments

  • Develop and implement applicative and infrastructure monitoring requests

  • Tune alerts to eliminate false positives and reduce noise ; ensure alerts are meaningful, actionable, and tied to business impact

  • Develop scripts to enhance monitoring capabilities and enable automatic remediation of errors;

  • Support IT teams during root cause analysis and impact analysis of incidents and problems;

  • Participate as a member of the project team;

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the solutions and processes;

  • Drive the adoption of monitoring throughout the bank to proactively identify service degradation issues and anticipate outages;

  • Participate in the on-call duty and share it with other team members. 


Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience as a sys admin or similar position;

  • Hands-on experience in monitoring with systems like CheckMK/Nagios/Zabbix, Elastic, Prometheus, Splunk, Grafana, Kibana, Instana, Dynatrace.

  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and PowerShell, along with foundational knowledge of Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools (e.g. Ansible) and experience integrating systems via REST APIs.

  • Deep understanding of how technology works under the hood:

  • Operating systems (Linux/Windows/AIX)

  • Databases (SQL and NoSQL)

  • Virtualization and containers (VMware, Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Openshift, etc)

  • Web servers and microservices architecture

  • Application servers and middlewares (Tomcat/Jboss/WebLogic/WebSphere, ETL tools, IBM MQ/Rabbit MQ, etc)

  • Networks (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, etc)

  • Understanding of DevOps principles and observability practices:

  • CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation

  • use of metrics, logs, traces, and events 

to ensure system reliability, performance and end‑to‑end visibility.

  • General knowledge of ITIL methodology with a focus on change management, incident and problem management.

Profile required

• Good knowledge of microservice development patterns;

• Good knowledge of microservice architectures;

• Good knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes or Openshift (v3/4);

• Knowledge of pair programming, continuous integration and test-driven development;

• Knowledge of design and modeling relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases;

• Working collaboratively / Tools: GIT;

• Methodologies: Agile;

• Ability to work in a team, acting proactively;

• Solution oriented person, with ability to work under pressure and respect deadlines;

• Analytical and good communication skills.

EXPERIENCE:

- minimum 3 years in developments using Spring (Boot & Cloud) framework & microservices;

- minimum 4 years in IT project
