ABOUT THE JOB:

Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO) delivers day-to-day services to Global Banking & Investor Solutions (GBIS) Business Units and their clients.  With IT & Operations teams working side by side under the same leadership, the goal of GBTO is to meet the evolving needs of its clients and market requirements, as well as anticipate technological advances to accelerate and support the transformation of GBIS activities. GBTO is at the very heart of this technological and operational challenge.

Financing and Transaction Banking is a global organization covering the management of structured finance transactions. Within our organization, the Structured Finance Middle Office team manage transactions/portfolios pre to post and closing for Project Finance, Leveraged Finance, Media & Telecom Finance, Commercial Real Estate, Metals & Mining Finance, Aircraft Finance and Export Finance. The group supports the business lines in all aspects of portfolio and transaction management, including operational responsibilities, agency management, credit risk monitoring and client relationship support.

 

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?

Your day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide Agency Management support for Project Finance, Leveraged Finance, Commercial Real Estate and Digital Infrastructure business lines.
  • Review legal documentation for Agent role pre-closing.
  • Collaborate closely with sub-agents and oversee their functions.
  • Manage amendments, waivers, and consents for assigned transactions.
  • Handle CP process for draw requests and term conversion.
  • Create deal sites in Debtdomain and post documentation.
  • Review and validate withdrawal transfer certificates.
  • Organize lender calls, bank meetings, and site visits.
  • Manage KYC requests from lenders.
  • Coordinate with lenders for payoffs and release of security packages.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for lender queries on transaction. 
  • Assist in internal and external audits and examinations of portfolios.

Profile required

Skills and Qualifications:

Must Have: 

  • Minimum 5 years of banking experience in a structured finance environment.
  • Strong experience in Agency Management with club-deals and broadly syndicated transactions.
  • Knowledge of Leveraged Lending, Project Finance, and Asset-Based Finance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Agency debt site platforms.
  • Experience with legal documentation review.

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, deadline-focused environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Debtdomain.
  • Experience with troubled credits, including workouts.
  • Experience working with Export Credit Agencies on multi-agency transactions.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • MBA, CFA, considered a plus.

Languages: English, French

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
