Responsibilities

ABOUT THE JOB:

The Risk Management Department contributes to the sustainable growth of the Societe Generale group through its expertise, understanding of risks, and risk management techniques. The department’s mission is to independently analyze, challenge and monitor risk-taking activities with the objective of achieving, together with the first line-of-defense, the best possible outcome for the bank.  The department oversees the enterprise, strategic, credit, market, liquidity, operational, model, and other risks of the corporate and investment banking business activities.

The Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) Program focuses on the TPRM lifecycle which includes planning, due diligence, contract management, ongoing monitoring, and termination of third-party relationships.

As a business intelligence analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of TPRM reporting needs, focusing on quality reporting and finding solutions to address data and other deficiencies. You will serve as the expert for the TERA (Archer TPRM Module) technology solution. Collaboration with IT, both locally and globally, will be essential to meet the department’s objectives and goals. In your role as a quality analyst, you will interact with Business Lines, Support Functions, and Subject Matter Experts to support all related functionality, such as entity profiles, assessments, issue management, exit strategy, and ongoing monitoring of third-party services.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR DAY-TO-DAY?  

  • Managing and overseeing the data quality of the TPRM technology solution (RSA Archer)
  • Creating, scheduling, and escalating reports to support the data quality function
  • Conducting systems business analysis, troubleshooting, and addressing identified weaknesses
  • Performing business analysis to support system enhancements and meeting desired functionalities
  • Producing or reviewing business requirements for the platform
  • Designing and implementing user acceptance testing campaigns
  • Troubleshooting systems issues with users and stakeholders as needed
  • Collaborating with internal auditors, external auditors, and regulators when required
  • Providing coverage for the TPRM workflow
  • Participating in the risk process and the risk workflow management 
  • Designing and operating reconciliation between relevant systems
  • Documenting all processes

Profile required

Skills and Qualifications:

What you bring to our team:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar position (Business Data Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, Business Systems Analyst)
  • Proficient in reporting
  • Experience with writing SQL and HTML scripts
  • Experience with Java / Javascript development is desired but not mandatory
  • Experience with Qlikview or comparable data mining /reporting tool
  • Exposure to or experience in data quality initiatives
  • Experience with relational databases and the ability to create efficient and functional data models
  • Proficiency in reporting tools and data mining tools, with a focus on enabling quality assurance initiatives
  • Building and maintaining reporting packages
  • Skills in business requirements gathering and documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to interact & communicate effectively across all levels and Business Lines within an organization
  • Ability to work individually as well as partner with others as part of a team
  • Experience in any risk management discipline is a plus
  • Education: Bachelor's degree

Languages: French, English

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
