If I had to sum up my job as a Société Générale consultant, I’d say it consists of solving proble rather complex problems.
At SG Consulting, our mission is clear. Offer expert advice to the group’s various divisions and subsidiaries while supporting their projects. To do that, we work as a team on projects lasting 3 to 9 months.
Our projects are quite varied. Optimizing work processes, improving our organization, strategic analysis, and digitization.
Our partners vary depending on the project. We also provide support for startups incubating within the group on issues such as customer-data security.
We use different working methods to find the right solution. For example, frugal methodology..
Really, the goal of frugal methodology is to optimize a project’s return on investment, by prioritizing the functionalities that yield the most value. Hence the grain of rice metaphor!
As part of our projects, we sometimes have access to confidential information.
The average team makeup is quite varied. We work with internal consultants as well as external ones. We’re constantly improving our knowledge thanks to our experience-sharing, and the time we spend on internal projects led by other consultants. The team grows stronger thanks to each player’s contribution. At the end of a 4-year cycle, we know the group and its activities inside out.
And by the way, our last project is often done within the department we’d like to join. Another possibility is to become lead or associate director within SG Consulting.
Me, I went for the international division.
