(Senior) Associate Regulatory Affairs
Responsibilities
For our (Senior) Associate Regulatory Affairs vacancy (Regulatory Watchtower), we are looking for a new colleague at our Paris based office.
The Regulatory Affairs team, of which the (Senior) Associate Regulatory Affairs forms a part, supports the various departments within Ayvens in dealing with banking supervision and related regulations to ensure strategic alignment with regard to regulatory topics.
Regulatory Watchtower is a team within Regulatory Affairs department. It provides insight and strategic advice into the company’s regulatory landscape to enable it to anticipate on upcoming regulations, supervisory trends and supervisory expectations.
In this role, you will be working together with the other members of the Regulatory Affairs team and will act as a professional business partner of the relevant teams across Ayvens that interact and report towards Ayvens’s regulator(s).
· Main activities:
o Scanning the regulatory landscape to identify regulatory publications and supervisory trends that are relevant for the company;
o Analysing regulatory changes to assess their impact on Ayvens;
o Prioritising, performing and coordinating impact assessments and implementation of requirements;
o Initiating the regulatory change process to ensure regulatory changes are assessed and implemented timely and properly;
o Allocating regulatory changes to specific individual(s)/functional team for their further assessment and implementation;
o Provide content support and advise on regulatory implementations (process, policy etc.) as well as on general interpretation of regulatory requirements;
o Participating in regulatory (e.g. implementation or remediation) projects and committees;
o Updating senior management and key functional heads on key regulatory publications and trends;
o Informing senior management on a follow-up of regulatory changes in the regulatory change process;
o Stimulating awareness of regulatory requirements and supervisory expectations within the company.
· Supports the Head of Regulatory Affairs and assists/works with the members of the Regulatory Affairs team in the execution of the strategic agenda with regard to regulatory matters:
o Advises and supports on the implementation of developments and changes in relevant company policies;
o supports on the coordination of relevant filings and communication with ECB, ACPR, DNB, AMF (AFM), etc. along with the relevant departments within Ayvens;
o supports regular reporting towards stakeholders on the Regulatory Affairs activities and regulatory developments.
Profile required
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
The ideal candidate is pro-active, goal and service oriented and able to work closely with stakeholders across departments and countries. She / he is able to deal with confidential information, is reliable and has a high level of integrity and commitment.
- ·Required level of education and technical abilities: law degree (at least Masters);
- · Approx. 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in regulatory or related topics;
- · Experience with ‘translating’ regulation to internal company processes and policies;
- · Project experience and working in interdisciplinary settings;
- · Solid reasoning, research and drafting skills;
- · Expert knowledge of banking, EU and French (Dutch is an advantage) financial regulatory framework and (preferably) vehicle management market;
- · Has the ability to deliver end-to-end solutions, work with integrated processes, and implement actions that support business needs;
- · Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English is a requirement, French and Dutch are an advantage), with the ability to effectively communicate and translate complex topics and regulations to different stakeholders;
- · Cooperation, teamwork, focus and work ethic are examples of key behaviours that should be displayed;
- · Ability to work independently as well as within a team;
- · Desire to work on a variety of topics and with exposure to many stakeholders within Ayvens.
