HIGHLIGHTS OF THE JOB
Hello, my name is Caroline. I joined Societe Generale in Corporate & Investment Banking in London, where I did a V. I. E for one year. I stayed on a permanent contract for two years and I have been back in Paris for two years now.
As a Business Analyst, I play a pivoting role between the operational and technical teams. The Business Analyst works within a project team managed by a Project Manager. On a daily basis, my job is to understand the expressed needs and to specify them for my technical teams. I support them if they have any questions while developing the solution, such as IT solution for example. Finally, we run a test phase and push the functionality in production if the tests are conclusive.
My work has mostly an impact on the optimization. We bring new features that allow advisors to feel more comfortable while using the application. In addition, external clients can be more independant on the mobile applications.progress. We work with Agile methods that allow us to avoid the tunnel effect. We can be reactive if it is necessary to adapt the solution we produce.
In addition to our jobs, we have the opportunity to contribute to projects.
For example, when you join Societe Generale as a young employee, it can be difficult to fit in. That's why I co-constructed the network We Are Young, WAY. It is designed by the youth, for the youth. We are completely free in the way we intervene and contribute.
When I joined the Group, I had a rather dusty and rigid image of the bank. But I was surprised to discover a very dynamic collaboration and some innovative new technologies.
